This has been a busy spring at Mill River Fly Rods. We actually got out to fish a few times. Our wonderful hobby business has kept us hopping.

We want to thank all the organizations that have so kindly lent their support to our fledgling interest. Thanks to the Housatonic Fly Fisherman’s Association, The Connecticut Fly Fisherman’s Association, Trout Unlimited Hammonasset Chapter, Federation of Fly Fishers, Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, The International Women’s Fly Fishers, and The Wallingford Rod and Gun Club. We appreciate you interest and support.

We want to thank Nancy and Don for getting us involved some in casting for Recovery. We are proud to have donated some rods and reels to causes this year so far. We enjoyed working with the Scouts at Deer Lake to assist them with their merit badge pursuits. These are a some of the reasons we’re doing this.

While not traveling this year as much as last, we managed to attend a couple shows and continue to provide our products at club meetings and through word of mouth.

We advertise in the State of Connecticut 2011 Angling Guide with the help of Joe Overlock and JP Griffin. We plan to continue to support the efforts of the Connecticut DEP.

Want to thank Jim M of Southington, Brendan M. of Fairfield, John L of Wallingford, Francis B. of Durham, Jerry W. of Manchester, Kyle K. of Massachusetts, Carlo from Easton, Vinny from Wallingford, Peter from Windham, CFFA, and HFFA for purchasing rods/reels from Mill River Fly Rods. Welcome to the Mill River family!

Rods is deep green and wraps are red with gold tipped. All packaged up with a quality rod sock and a REC anodized aluminum tube.

We became a dealer for Royal Wulff Products and have matched up the outfit with a Joan Wulff Signature Line for those who need a smooth casting line.

Brian from Watertown picked the first one up with a gold anodized reel. What a nice combo. Thanks Brian!
